Single Parenting
Single parenting can be difficult but also very rewarding, especially if it becomes the motivation to make a commitment to a better life for parent and child. However, lack of support, financial stress and dropping out of school are some of the factors that make this choice so difficult. In fact, teen pregnancy is the number one cause of poverty.Although any decision will involve sacrifice, there are some who are very successful at single parenting. Ongoing parent education classes and support are among the services the Pregnancy Support Center is able to provide single parents. Additionally, our peer counselors are trained to guide the single parent to numerous community resources which can help them.
